1. What PricesDeck is

PricesDeck is a free community guide to what things cost in Lagos markets and shops. Prices are posted by shoppers like you, not by the markets, and not checked by us before they appear.

2. Prices are a guide, not a promise

• Prices change fast, differ between sellers and depend on bargaining.
• A price on PricesDeck is what someone reported seeing at a certain time. It may be out of date or wrong. Look at how recent it is and how many people confirmed it.
• Always confirm the price with the seller before you travel or buy. We aren't a party to anything you buy and aren't responsible for a seller's prices, goods or conduct.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Give a real email address, keep your password private, and don't share your account.
• Pick a username that doesn't pretend to be someone else or a business you don't represent.
• You're responsible for what happens on your account.

4. Posting prices and photos

When you post a price, a market, a photo or a vote, you agree that:

• It is honest: a price you actually saw or paid, at the place you say, around the time you post it.
• Photos are your own or you have the right to share them, and don't show people's faces or personal details without their permission.
• You won't post fake, joke or misleading prices; advertise or spam; harass anyone; post anything offensive or illegal; or use several accounts or other tricks to game confirmations or the leaderboard.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give PricesDeck a free, worldwide, ongoing permission to show, store, copy, resize and share it as part of the service (for example on product pages, in link previews and in price summaries), including after you leave, unless you delete it.

5. Moderation

Anyone can flag a report. Reports flagged by several people are hidden automatically, and our admins may hide or delete any content, merge duplicate markets or products, remove leaderboard points, or suspend accounts that break these terms. We try to be fair, and you can email us if you think we got it wrong.

6. Using the service fairly

Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of PricesDeck, and don't copy its prices in bulk with automated tools without our written permission. Sharing individual pages and prices is welcome. That's what the share buttons are for.

7. Notifications and alerts

Price alerts and notifications are a convenience. They may arrive late, or not at all, for example if your phone is offline or a provider has an outage. Don't rely on them for anything critical.

8. No warranty, and limits on our liability

PricesDeck is provided free and "as is". We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we don't guarantee that it will always be available or that any price is correct. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses that come from relying on prices posted by users, from a trip or purchase you make, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law that can't be limited.

9. Leaving, and changes to these terms

• You can stop using PricesDeck any time, and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).
• We may change or stop parts of the service. If we change these terms in a big way, we'll tell you on the site or in the app.
• These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
